How the free AI budget coach works
- Type a few numbers. Start with your monthly take-home pay. Rent, a savings goal and your total debt are optional, but they make the tips more specific.
- Ask a question if you like. Anything about your budget, in up to 300 characters.
- Tap Get my 3 tips. The coach works out a few simple figures first, like your 50/30/20 split and the monthly amount to reach your goal. Then the AI writes 3 short tips around them.
- Keep what helps. Copy the tips, save them as a text file, or open the matching free calculator to go deeper.
- Kind and simple. No jargon and no lectures.
- Your numbers only. It won't guess at numbers you didn't give it.
- No product picks. It won't tell you which stocks, funds or apps to buy.
What to ask the AI budget coach
Short, specific questions get the most useful answers. A few that work well:
- How do I start an emergency fund on a tight budget?
- Is my rent too high for my take-home pay?
- Should I pay off my credit card or save first?
- How much should I set aside each month to reach my goal in a year?
- How do I budget when my income changes every month?

How it's different from bank-linked budgeting apps
Many AI money apps connect to your bank accounts to read your transactions, and some charge a monthly fee for their AI features. That works well if you want automatic tracking. This coach takes a simpler route:
- No bank login. Nothing is linked. You type only the numbers you want to share.
- No signup. No account, email or app to install.
- Free. No trial and no card, with a small daily limit per visitor.
- Nothing kept. Your numbers are used to write your answer, then thrown away.
The trade-off: it can't see your real spending, so it won't spot a forgotten subscription for you. If you'd like to track each month by hand, the free monthly budget printable pairs well with it.
Questions people ask
Is the AI budget coach really free?
Yes. There is no signup, card or trial. Each visitor gets a handful of tips a day so it can stay free for everyone.
Do I need to link my bank account?
No. The coach never asks for a bank login, account numbers or an email. You type only the numbers you want to share.
Is this financial advice?
No. These are friendly, general tips to help you plan. For big decisions, talk with your bank, lender or a professional.
Are my numbers saved?
They're remembered in this browser so the form is filled in next time. When you tap Get my 3 tips, they're sent to the coach to write your answer and then thrown away. Tap Start fresh to clear them.
What AI does it use?
An open AI model (Google's Gemma) running on Cloudflare Workers AI. The coach works out the key figures, like your 50/30/20 split, before the AI writes, and checks the tips against them.
Why is there a daily limit?
The coach is free, so each visitor gets a handful of tips a day. If it's busy, you'll still get quick tips worked out from your numbers.
Can I use it from a calculator?
Yes. Every calculator has a small Get tips button under your results that sends that calculator's numbers.
