  1. iPad: tap the PDF, tap Share, then pick Goodnotes, Notability or Noteshelf.
  2. Android: open it from Downloads in Samsung Notes, Goodnotes, Noteshelf or Xodo.
  3. Tap a tab with your finger. In Samsung Notes, after importing, tap the book icon at the top to switch to reading mode so the tabs and links work. On Android, Goodnotes needs Read Only mode. Page 1 of the sample has tips for each app.
  4. Type or write. Tap a box to type in Xodo or Adobe Acrobat Reader, or write by hand (in Goodnotes and Samsung Notes, use the app's text tool to type).
